Learn Spanish Free Or Really Splash Out?

by Sharon on November 7, 2011

It couldn’t be easier to learn Spanish free these days particularly by making use of the internet but if you want to broaden your horizons further afield you could take a plane and really immerse yourself. Just imagine sipping a long cool sangria under a warm Spanish sky.

Seriously is there a better way to learn Spanish? I don’t think so!

You may be wondering how you would go about finding a tutor or how you would cope if you have to travel alone. Well the answer is simple, Language schools.

Finding one is so easy and the top schools not only have Spanish learning in Spain but they also offer courses in the far off reaches of Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Cuba and many more you may not have even thought of.

Now we really are talking about an experience here that you will remember.

Whether you are learning a language as a student finishing university or taking a gap year or as a mature student who finds you can take some time out just for you, attending a language school can really tick a lot of boxes.

Selecting the course level that is right for you couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is take a guess at your level when you book because on arrival you will sit a small assessment with the rest of the students which will place you in the correct class.

Even if once started you find yourself in the wrong class you will still have the opportunity to change. They will be only too pleased to ensure you are comfortable. After all, their reputation is paramount to their business success.

By learning in a group in this way your evenings can be spent touring the city museums, cafes and hot spots that may be harder for you to find were you alone. Their knowledge of the history of the area will keep you riveted.

A designated social leader will ensure your extracurricular needs are met. In my experience they offered us two clearly distinct options when I spent time in Valencia.

Choosing between the many cultural delights that Valencia offers… and there are many believe me, Valencia is a beautiful City or the nightlife dancing into the small hours, is purely preference.

Or why not mix it up and save the late boogy nights for the weekend. Whichever you choose you can take part in as much or as little as you care to.

Whether you set out to learn Spanish free or wanted something more engaging such as taking the chance to travel while you learn Spanish.

You’ll never feel alone because almost everyone who studies at a language school starts out on their own only to find they have joined a warm and welcoming group of people.

For me making the choice in accommodation was an easy one. I stayed with different host families in each location. Yes you can opt for various locations, all you need do is find your way from one to the other.

This offers many hidden opportunities to learn as you will need to ask for directions, book flights or train tickets and introduce yourself time and again to your new family and your new language school.

You could even get yourself prepared and learn Spanish free online with audio, this will help your accent too.

While it’s not uncommon for host families to speak no English at all they will have bags of experience in hosting. In this way you will have a truly memorable time and, if you are really lucky could forge long lasting friendships.

Get yourself online and see what you can find. I recommend the big names that handle plenty of students all year round although that is from my own personal experience only.

You can undoubtedly learn to speak Spanish free but you can also take yourself off and have an incredible adventure. Who know’s where that may take you.

Don’t let age stop you. 40, 50 , 60 , 70 ? Languages are popular for all age groups.

Happy Learning,

Sharon
