Learning Spanish language can be very difficult. Most people attack Spanish learning without having a real plan.
Before you start learning Spanish language you need a solid plan.
Your aim is to learn to speak Spanish but there is a chance that you have inadvertently set yourself on a path that could see you fail. You think I’m joking? How many unused books have you already collected?
The first flush of enthusiasm can bring out the credit card so if you’ve already done that but find the days and weeks rolling by and your books are still on the shelf then let me help you address that, right now.

Firstly don’t believe any programme that guarantees success because the guarantee doesn’t take into account what you are personally going to put into the process. How much time you will devote to study may vary week on week.
By the time you have read this you will have a neat tip and feel empowered to succeed.
We are going to start by taking those books off the shelf and make them accessible. Pop them on a coffee table where you can’t miss them. Learning Spanish language is going to be a pleasure, a challenge and the making of you because there is nothing like achieving to make you feel invincible.
Open your book and look for verbs. Scan the page and rewrite 5 useful verbs on a clean sheet of paper.
Find the conversational section of your book and choose one little jewel that you can fit any of your chosen verbs into.
Tengo Que is a great place to start. It means ‘I have to’
Which verbs have you chosen?
Trabajar – To learn? (Conducir)
Pulir- To polish? (Los muebles)
Ir–To go? (Al cine)
Limpiar-To clean? (La casa)
Llamar – To phone? (Mi madre)
Now write each one clearly a few times on scrap paper before putting your last scribe neatly onto a small flash card. Use a bold colour and write carefully. This is important because the information will transfer from your hand through your pen and onto the paper.
Speak out loud as you do.
Look at the shape of your sentence and commit it to memory.
Now you need to place these somewhere your normal daily routine will take you. This could be in the bathroom, next to the kettle or on your bedside table. As a daily devotion look at the card and say out loud what you see.
Keeping you learning resources accessible will guarantee you use them. There is no magic wand, you’re going to have to dedicate regular moments to kick start your Spanish. This will never happen at a steady pace if your books are on the shelf!
Change them often; keeping those you have already learned in a small box somewhere handy perhaps next to your computer.
Whether you are studying at home or learning Spanish language at college you will certainly be wanting to visit Spain and try your efforts out for real. Easy to use sentences are a great place to start.
Since Spanish is also a Latin language, you will find as you study Spanish that you have a better understanding of your native vocabulary.
There is probably no better way to learn English grammar than by studying the grammar of another language, for the study forces you to think about how your language is structured. It’s not unusual, for example, to gain an understanding of English verbs’ tenses and moods by learning how those verbs are used in Spanish.
This is such an easy technique but don’t overlook the power of learning steadily and methodically. And learning doesn’t have to be high brow to work.
The days and weeks will pass so fast so make a plan that you can enthusiastically stick to. Before you know it you will have a collection of useful verbs framed in a neat little sentence.
Looking for the fastest way to learn Spanish may not be the most sucessful, as learning a language is a work in progress, so find a steady pace.
The rule ’less is more’ applies here.
Take pleasure in finding creative ways to learn then come back and share them with us here.
Happy Learning,
Sharon
